VP of Engineering

VP Of EngineeringExtreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a VP of Engineering to develop solutions across a wide range of ruggedized products and applications. In this role, you will oversee all stages of development, from requirements and design, through implementation and verification, to continuing engineering and customer support. X-ES provides the opportunity to work in a high-tech environment where creative, analytical, and critical thinking is encouraged and rewarded.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership and direction for engineering teamsManage product development, innovation, and engineering systemsEnsure rigorous design reviews, technical audits, and compliance with customer specifications and contract scopeDrive strategic initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to organizational leadershipLead team development, foster an empowered culture, and drive continuous improvement in engineering processesOther Experience and QualificationsTen or more (10+) years of engineering management experience with 20 years in engineering (preferred)Proven ability to manage engineering project development for customer-driven products as well as internally driven technology research and development projectsDeep understanding of software, mechanical, and electrical engineering principlesExpertise in the oversight and optimization of engineering design tools including schematic capture, PCB design, drafting, 3D modeling, thermal management, and other related toolsKnowledge of software development tools and methods (Agile)Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and solve complex problemsCapable of mentoring and/or developing talentComputer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detailAbility to work efficiently and independentlyAbility to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI
