Title: Endoscopy Technician / GI Technician

Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire

Setting: ASC – Gastroenterology / Endoscopy

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3PM

Pay: pay based on experience plus a full benefits package


The GI Technician / Endoscopy Technician will be responsible for setting up endoscopic procedures, assisting gastroenterologists during procedures, obtaining specimens, monitoring vital signs, sterilization of instruments, adhering to strict endoscope reprocessing guidelines. Must work as a team player in completing scheduled daily procedures, assisting with various daily activities necessary to run a busy endoscopy center such as restocking and ordering supplies, scanning medical records.


Qualifications:

-- At least one year of GI Technician or Endoscopy Technician experience required (in ASC center preferably)

-- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation

-- Certification as a Surgical Tech, Sterile Processing Tech, OR Tech or Medical Assistant preferred but not required

-- BLS Certification preferred
