Basic Job Functions: Nucor Tubular Group is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Automation Engineer. Responsibilities include, but arenot limited to,update of drawings and documentation, support the safeexecution of ourreliability based maintenance programs,failure trouble shooting,ensure optimum performance of all equipment as well as to develop and implement projects for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a proven expertise in programming PLCs / HMIs, automation equipment and experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems (motors, drives, instrumentation, power distribution up to 480V). [[cust_safetyState]] Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor degree in mechatronic or electrical engineering 3 years minimum working in industrial environment Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, and weekends Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of steel industry Experienced upgrading Automation systems. Experienced programming PLCs, HMIs and AC/DC drives (Control Logix, Siemens, Factory Talk). Experienced updating and creating drawings with Autocad.
