Bring your true colors to blue.The Consultant position in the Business Consulting Group (BCG) reports to the Director, BCG in the Strategy, Consulting, and Innovation division. BCG is an internal companywide management consulting resource dedicated to partnering with leaders to achieve the company's critical business priorities. This position is eligible for the Flex persona and will be required to work from our Boston office 2x per week.Your Day to Day:Collaborate with BCG project leads to assist with the scoping, planning, and execution of assigned consulting engagementsGather information relevant for assigned projects, including gathering quantitative and qualitative analyses, incorporating market and industry research, and identifying project-specific impact metrics, as appropriateConduct and synthesize interviews and engage in other research methods to gather information relevant to assigned projectsFacilitate meetings and small workgroups to drive decision makingComplete assigned project activities with minimal supervisionDevelop project related deliverables with limited to no supervision, including PowerPoint presentations, project plans/timelines, process workflow diagrams, interview guides, meeting facilitation plans, meeting minutes, status reports, and issue/risk logsPresent updates, findings, and recommendations virtually and in-person to internal project sponsors and other leaders and associates at all levels of the organization as neededCultivate and maintain positive working relationships with leaders across the organizationActively contribute to BCG and division staff development and internal departmental process improvementWe're Looking for:Strong understanding of business process analysis and improvement, project management, and change management approaches and principles along with demonstrated project management skills and/or consulting skillsAbility to deal effectively with ambiguous situationsStrong written and oral communication skills with ability to deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiencesResults oriented with a high degree of initiative along with ability to act as a team playerStrong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects and assignmentsHigh degree of professionalism and confidence along with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organizationStrong PC skills (e.g., MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio) and familiarity with data analysis tools and video conferencing technology (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom)Ability to research, analyze, and incorporate healthcare industry strategy to solving business challengesMust have ability to travel to BCBSMA sites for in-person meetingsWhat You Bring:BS/BA degree required. Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree preferred5+ years of relevant business experience, including demonstrated experience in a consulting and/or project management roleWhat You'll Gain:This is a high-profile position in which you will have visibility into all levels of the organization and corporate strategy.
