Cleveland Clinic's Environmental Services (EVS) Department is consistently ranked among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare. As Team Lead, you will work to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect by ensuring all assigned facility areas are clean, fully stocked and organized. Your efforts help enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience and assist other caregivers in providing attentive patient care.A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotation requirements. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Conduct general training for new caregivers in floor care, wall washing, carpet cleaning and special procedures.Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens and sanitizing all surfaces.Follow policies and procedures on patient isolation.Stock paper items and other supplies in patient rooms as necessary or designated.Maintain cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store in appropriate storage area when finished with shift.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High School Diploma or GEDDemonstrated ability to collaborate with others in coordinating multiple tasksPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:One year of experience in Environmental ServicesLeadership experience or experience providing work directionStrong customer service skillsOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to be mobile for extended periods of timeAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationAbility to move/transport items weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to move/transport equipment weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to move/transport animals weighing up to or more than 100 poundsAbility to inspect equipmentAbility to clean, operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning productsMay come into contact with communicable diseases and/or body fluidsPersonal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as requiredPay Range Minimum hourly: $15.25Maximum hourly: $19.60The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
