BOOKKEEPER, THE ORION AMPHITHEATERROLE: BookkeeperLOCATION: Huntsville, AL / HybridREPORTS TO: Finance Operations ManagerPOSITION:  Part-timePOSITION SUMMARYThe Bookkeeper at The Orion Amphitheater works part-time to provide high-quality accounting support across multiple financial functions at the venue. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking flexible hours or supplemental work while still performing meaningful, skilled accounting responsibilities. The position supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense coding, sales tax reporting, facility fee reporting, and period-end close processes.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage the period-end close process across multiple local entitiesManage Bank account, Credit Cards, and Balance Sheet reconciliationsAssist in processing, coding,  and reconciling Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivablePreparation of weekly and monthly reportingAssistance in preparation of monthly Sales & Use tax, multi entity agreements, and external engagementsEnter and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly sales into the accounting systemAssist with year-end audit in providing requested information to auditorsIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controlsPlan, organize and manage your own workload to ensure contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate mannerComplete ad hoc accounting tasks and financial projects as assignedPROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS + PREREQUISITESA solid understanding of basic accounting principles, CPA is a plusA minimum of 5 years of experience preferredExperience in hospitality, food and beverage, or events industry preferredSkilled at managing multiple priorities and relationshipsAptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting complex issuesAbility to work autonomously to meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailPassion for hospitality and entertainmentABOUT THE ORIONThe Orion Amphitheater | Huntsville, AlabamaOpened in 2022, The Orion Amphitheater is an 8,000-capacity destination venue redefining what it means to be a music venue in the South.
