Videographer

Job Purpose

The Videographer is proficient in operating video cameras, lighting equipment, audio recording devices, and has a strong knowledge of video editing software and techniques. The Videographer has ability to understand and interpret client’s needs and translate them into engaging and visually compelling content.

Videographer Responsibilities:

• Translate client’s marketing objectives into a video strategy by creating outlines and writing scripts while adhering to brand guidelines
• Prioritize work and resources across needs, establishing schedules by collaborating with Sr. Director of Marketing
• Present (or oversee) strategy and video deliverables to obtain approvals for deliverables
• Film video on set and on location (less than 15% travel)
• Collaborate with creative team and clients to plan video shoots, meeting tight deadlines
• Set up and take down cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment
• Edit footage after recording and / or collaborate with editor as needed to finalize projects on schedule
• Add graphics, closed captioning, and special effects to footage as needed
• Prepare interview questions for clients and shoot B-roll
• Assist with working with third-party vendors and casting talent for video shoots when necessary
• Maintain Vimeo library, keeping videos organized and categorized appropriately

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associates Degree
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in videography
• Working knowledge of lighting, camera, and audio gear
• Proven experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Mastery with Adobe Premiere
• Ability to distill complex concepts into fast-paced, short form content
• Ability to adapt and work quickly under short deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with clients and members of the production team
• Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods
