  • 3+ years of experience of experience with electrical planning experience in a shipyard : how to plan and schedule the installation of the electrical systems (electrical outfitting, cabling, equipment)
  • Experience as a planner
  • 3+ years of experience planning, detail planning, installations in the marine field on Build strategy on how to put a ship together
  • Comes from electrical planning team
  • Planning background (Planning experience in manufacturing industries, planning the production of a ship)
  • Knowledge/Experience of Project Based Engineering and manufacturing process
  • Ability to read installation drawings, bill of materials, and manufacturing drawings, diagrams, arrangement drawings = any drawings to do with ship building
  • Comfortable in a ship yard environment


PLUS:

  • Has used SAP: AutoCad, Navisworks, Aviva marine , Primavera
  • Bachelor's Engineering


DAY TO DAY:

Our client, a large and well known ship yard is seeking a Detail Planner to be apart of Electrical Systems & Outfitting Design Department. This role is based out of Philadelphia and works onsite 4 days a week. This person will partake in creating the building method description and production schedules. This person will manage hour/cost targets and create the work packages in SAP according to production schedules. You will also secure material availability for the teams and act as the main contact to the design and planning group. The Planner will also do resource loading and detail scheduling for the teams with a focus on eliminating bottlenecks in accordance with production plans. You will also take care of change order DCN routines (estimations, SAP, follow up) , gather follow up information from the workshop group, and make reports for the production dept.
