The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best-in-class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.About the PositionThe Quality Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing quality control activities during the execution of warehouse support service activities (i.e. pre-production/sustainment, inventory, production, receiving) supporting the Navy Medical Readiness Logistic Command's (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical System (EXMED) mission. The Logistics Analyst, ICW the Program Manager, will utilize the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) database, or Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) database, or other DoD authorized system to monitor and provide quality surveillance that is nested with the government's overall Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan. The position requires a detail-oriented and highly proficient individual that can adhere to published standards and guidance directed in local Standard Operating Procedures, Navy guidelines, and Department of Defense publications.Key ResponsibilitiesPerforming checks and tests on materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production.Examining data and logs to identify defects, trends, and areas for improvement.Creating and implementing quality control procedures and guidelines to maintain consistent quality.Working with other stakeholders, such as inventory, receiving, kitting, maintenance, production, and engineering, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.Preparing detailed reports on quality tests and inspections, and maintaining accurate records.Recommending changes to production steps and measurements to improve product quality and efficiency.Operational ManagementProvide surveillance of daily logistics operations, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and workflow efficiency within area of responsibility.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), taking corrective action when performance is outside target thresholds.Performs quality control on transaction records and files documents appropriately and promptly.Research quality assurance messages utilizing DMLSS, or other military database of record and coordinates affected products/recalls with affected work centers.Required Skills and CompetenciesProven leadership and management experience in logistics, maintenance, or engineering environments.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.Must be able to follow and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Work Instructions.Must be able to read, write and clearly communicate work processes with leadership and peers.Must be detailed oriented.Must be able to work independently and as a team member.Must be dependable in meeting work schedules requirements.Physical and Special RequirementsAbility to work at an accelerated pace under emergencies or operational demands.Candidate must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Requirements include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items.Required to lift and carry weight over 45 pounds.Must be able to work in an austere environment.Minimum QualificationsHigh School DiplomaMinimum 5+ years of experience in quality processes in medical logistics and warehouse operations.Must possess and current valid driver's license.Must be able to understand, read, and write in the English language.Job Type:Full-time, ExemptWork Location:Williamsburg, VABenefits:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k)Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee Award ProgramSolution One Industries is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
