Summary:

This person will help establish and grow a material handling equipment solutions distributor / dealer, offering a comprehensive range of services including equipment distribution, rental, aftermarket parts sales, and maintenance services. This individual will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing our new equipment dealership, rental, and maintenance location. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in equipment sales and maintenance, along with proven leadership skills to build and lead a high-performing team, including technicians, and managing operations personnel.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to establish and grow the dealership, rental, and maintenance business in the local market.
  2. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with potential clients, and secure maintenance contracts for the equipment fleet.
  3. Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of sales professionals, administrative staff, maintenance technicians, and department heads.
  4. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
  5. Sales and Marketing: Drive sales efforts by developing marketing strategies, promoting rental services, and actively pursuing sales opportunities for equipment and aftermarket parts.
  6. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the dealership, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  7. Operational Excellence: Implement processes and procedures to streamline operations, optimize inventory management, and ensure timely maintenance services.
  8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Progressive leadership in a similar industry - Material Handling equipment dealer / distributor, ideally.
  • Experience in maintenance contract management and negotiation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
