Job Description:


• Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):


• Configure and install network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).

• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

• Monitor network resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.

• Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.

• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.

• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team

• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.


What are the “must have” skill sets (technical/functional) which are required:


* MPLS, Cisco ACI, CISCO Client, SD-WAN technologies, Wireless

* F5 load balancing, Infoblox, SolarWinds

* 7 years of networking experience

* Cloud-based connectivity (AWS, Azure)

* RoIP, Multicast, Voice over WLAN, WiFi

* Packet decoding technology

* Experience with NERC CIP environments

• What education and certifications/licensures are required? Bachelor, Other Education: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math or Business or technical equivalent.
