Key ResponsibilitiesLead estimates for site development and early works including mass grading, excavation, utilities, and stormwaterPrepare conceptual, schematic, and hard-bid estimates for greenfield and redevelopment sitesPerform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop cost models, unit pricing, and historical dataAnalyze drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and site constraintsSolicit, level, and evaluate civil subcontractor and supplier bidsIdentify constructability risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunitiesCollaborate with operations on means & methods and execution strategySupport design-build and negotiated pursuits, proposals, and bid handoffsQualifications8+ years estimating experience with a civil / site development contractorStrong background in mass grading, earthwork, underground utilities, and stormwaterExperience with large-parcel, greenfield, or campus-style developmentsProficient in HCSS, HeavyBid, AGTEK, Trimble, or similar toolsAbility to interpret civil drawings, soils reports, and survey dataBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)Why JoinHigh-impact role influencing project wins and preconstruction strategyWork on complex, high-value site development projectsStrong backlog of negotiated and repeat-client workCompetitive compensation and long-term growth in a collaborative, execution-focused cultureReach out to lucas.chadwick@metric-search.com or call 646-814-0307 to discussThis position is urgent and will not be available for long so apply today.
