Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

The role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Wexford Health Sources, Inc. involves assisting in the delivery of patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and guides patient teaching activities under the clinical guidance of Registered Nurses.
  • Assists in assessing physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Develops and implements individual treatment programs by utilizing available resources and consulting with registered nurses, physicians, and correctional officers.
  • Administers medications and interventions according to provider instructions.
  • Documents nursing encounters and communicates information to supervisory personnel and physicians as per provider's orders.

Requirements:
  • Current, unrestricted New Mexico Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience; correctional experience preferred.
