1 Alliance Geomatics is a professional land surveying firm specializing in engineering design mapping, construction surveying, and monitoring services. We have grown to be one of the leading survey firms in the Pacific Northwest.


We are hiring a Project Surveyor (LS Survey Technician 4) to work in our Bellevue/Redmond office. You will be working with an experienced team of surveyors providing support for topographical design mapping on large corridors, Heavy Civil Transportation Construction, and Site Civil Construction projects. You will be working out of our Bellevue/Redmond Office, but your projects will be throughout the region.


As a Project Surveyor your duties will be diverse and will include writing proposals, managing projects, leading survey efforts, and instructing and directing survey technicians and crews in support of construction, mapping, right-of-way, and boundary survey efforts. In performing these duties, you will be expected to coordinate the work of other professionals and share your technical skills with more junior staff. You must have excellent problem-solving skills and outstanding communication skills. You must have a high aptitude for both field, and office technologies as this position require both field and office knowledge and experience, including:


  • Working closely with the field survey crews and the entire survey team.
  • Office work will involve field note reductions, traverse adjustments using Leica Infinity or other post-processing software.
  • Prepare topographic maps using both MicroStation Inroads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • ALTA Surveys, Right-of-way maps, and Record of Surveys
  • Deed research, title report reviews and writing easements and legal descriptions.
  • Project planning and support for the field crew.
  • Survey control functions utilizing both GPS and TPS.
  • Data collection using GPS TPS, 3D Laser Scanning, and Photogrammetric technologies.
  • Post-processing, QA/QC, and deliverable generation.
  • Computations and calculations for staking and layout.


Minimum requirements:

  • Washington Professional Surveyor license preferred, or the ability to obtain one.
  • WADOT and Civil construction experience preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience with MicroStation Inroads and AutoCAD C3D, preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surveys and field operations.
  • Current Driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • You must be able to pass any drug or alcohol test.


Compensation:

$45 - $55 Hourly

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
