Job Description Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide behavioral health support for students within schools in Charles County, Maryland. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy, staff consultation and staff training. Job Quick Facts: • Profession:Mental Health Counselor • Location: Charles County, Maryland • Facility Type: School • Job Type: Contract • Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday • Start Date: TBD • Duration: 1 year • Rate: $60 Requirements: • Have a master's degree or higher in Counseling • Relevant state of Maryland certification • Experience in educational environment or setting • Strong foundational understanding of behavior analytic principles • Have experience working with children/adolescents and families Responsibilities: • Maintain records and files to the highest standard and make and keep clear and concise note • Provide oversight, directing and instructing other professionals while maintaining confidentiality • Provide Individual and/or group counseling - preferably in-person services • Offer family communication and support as needed • Offer staff training on relevant mental health issues, including trauma informed care, understanding behavioral health concerns of youth • Conduct parent workshops in the evening • Offer staff consultation and attendance at relevant school meetings involving students under their care • Consultation with school staff and parents • Perform other duties as assigned
