Education Program Consultant

The Iowa Department of Education seeks a dedicated individual to serve as the school improvement consultant for all school districts and accredited nonpublic schools in Northwest and Prairie Lakes Area Education Agencies.

Your Responsibilities

Leading accreditation/improvement activities for districts/schools;Writing accreditation reports pursuant to visits, including areas of strength and areas of noncompliance;Providing districts and schools with technical assistance to maintain compliance with state and federal law and improve results;Attending Superintendents' meetings in the AEA;Participating in AEA accreditation visits;Participate in development and implementation of tiered accreditation/differentiated accountability system for school improvement;Definition of tiered system of supports for districts and schools in Iowa;Other duties as assignedCandidates are encouraged to include detailed information about their relevant experience in their application, or submit a cover letter and resume in addition to their application.
