This position is responsible for leading, managing and overseeing all aspects of TMG’s IT infrastructure and operations. The main goal is to ensure that the company’s technology systems are running smoothly, efficiently, and securely. This role is responsible for driving the organization’s technology strategy, optimizing operations, and providing our entire team with a reliable, scalable, and secure IT foundation to support all of our products, services and locations. Strategic planning, Team development and growth, Security and Compliance, along with budgeting and Resource allocations will be foundational parts of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads development and implementation processes for the organization’s IT systems and department.
  • Budgeting and resource allocation: Develop and manage the IT infrastructure and operations budget, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinates multisite IT systems.
  • Vendor relationships and management. Collaborating and managing partner/vendor relationships. Evaluate and select technology solutions, negotiate contracts, and build relationships to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Facilitates and manages the development, modification, and operation of security protocols including intrusion detection and prevention systems to protect the organization’s information from breach or loss.
  • Conducts periodic audits and due diligence checks of security protocols, evaluating systems for vulnerabilities. Failovers, disaster recovery plans, and Malware threats are examples of systems enabled and checked consistently.
  • Recommends modifications to security protocols as required.
  • Develops and/or provides training and guidance on acceptable use, risk management, incident response, and security protocols to employees.
  • Periodically briefs senior management on status of security system and protocols.
  • Reviews reports of, and evaluates response to, any security incidents.
  • Ensures that monitoring operations comply with all applicable government regulations and standards.
  • Maintains current knowledge of emerging security threats, technical challenges, and developments in system protection and IT security standards.


NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Compliance and Security: Familiarity with industry regulations, (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and experience in implementing security measures to protect data and systems.
  • Project management: Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor IT Infrastructures and operations Projects effectively.
  • Continuous Learning, committed to staying updated with the latest technology trends, industry best practices, and certifications relevant to IT infrastructure and operations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience managing an IT department.


PREFERRED:

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
