This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that offers the flexibility of remote work, with occasional national travel. Overtime is included.


Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of project plans, including developing and maintaining status trackers, calendars, and progress reports. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and ensure everyone is aligned.
  • Initiate and manage essential meetings such as project kickoffs and issue resolution sessions to keep projects on track.
  • Manage projects from kickoff through installation and the post-installation support phase, ensuring smooth and successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with the IT network team to ensure the network is ready for UCaaS installations.
  • Keep branches and key contacts informed throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any post-installation issues that require IT project involvement.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and ISPs to coordinate analog disconnects and other telecom-related tasks.
  • Review telecom accounts for in-scope services and integrate them into the migration plan as needed.
  • Assist with project initiatives such as new site builds, closures, and mergers/acquisitions by providing UCaaS technical engineers with the necessary requirements.
  • Inform management of any issues and provide weekly status updates on ongoing projects.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from management or other departments as needed.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and create tools and documentation to support job duties.


Requirements:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of IT experience, with a minimum of 1 year focused on Telecom.
  • Proficiency in Visio, PowerPoint, O365, and Teams.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with both current and legacy Telecom systems.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and familiarity with 8x8 or similar VoIP providers is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 10%-20% and availability for weekend and after-hours work when required.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
