Company Description
Marlin is a large master servicer that currently services approximately 140,000 loans. This position is tied to our direct-to-consumer origination platform which is heavily focused on both FHA loans and servicing the needs of our customer base.
Salary
The starting salary for this position is $60,000 to $70,000.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an FHA DE Underwriter. The FHA DE Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing loan applications, ensuring compliance with FHA underwriting guidelines, and preparing loan documentation. They will also communicate with loan officers, processors, and underwriting management to resolve loan application issues and ensure timely loan processing.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of FHA guidelines, regulations, and policies
- Experience in underwriting residential loans
- Ability to analyze tax returns, financial statements, credit reports, and other financial information
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) is required. VA LAPP/SAR are a plus
