Vice President Of Commercial LendingA well-capitalized community bank with a multi-branch presence in central Illinois is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Lending to expand its commercial banking presence in the Champaign/Bloomington market. This is a leadership-focused role, not a producer-only position, for an experienced commercial lender who can drive growth while maintaining strong credit discipline.The RoleThe VP of Commercial Lending will originate, structure, underwrite, and manage commercial loans while partnering closely with senior leadership to grow commercial and deposit relationships. This role carries meaningful lending authority and market visibility and requires active engagement in the local business community. Position is 100% onsite.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and manage C&I and owner-occupied CRE loansBuild and grow commercial and small-business relationshipsMaintain asset quality through disciplined underwriting and portfolio oversightPartner with leadership to support deposit growthParticipate in loan committee and collaborate with credit and operationsRepresent the bank in community and business development activitiesQualifications7+ years of commercial or business lending experienceStrong underwriting and credit analysis skillsExperience managing a commercial loan portfolioRelationship-driven community banking mindsetBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldCompensation & Benefits (Illinois Disclosure)Base Salary: Up to $145,000, commensurate with experience and portfolio scopeIncentive Compensation: Performance-based bonus opportunityBenefits: Medical, Dental, Vision; Life & AD&D Long-Term Disability; 401(k) with employer match; Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Paid Leave (Illinois compliant); Wellness Program; Tuition Reimbursement (per policy); Additional employer-sponsored benefitsThis is a confidential search.
