Transactional Legal Secretary Lafayette (Onsite)A well-established regional law firm with multiple offices across Louisiana and Texas is seeking an experienced Transactional Legal Secretary to join its Lafayette office. This position is fully onsite and supports attorneys handling real estate, title, and business transactional matters.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport business and real estate transaction work, including title insurance and loan closing documentationCompile and prepare transactional documents and exhibitsPerform advanced editing, formatting, and proofreading with high accuracyRedact, revise, and organize documents and supporting materialsManage conflict checks, file opening, and maintenance of electronic and physical matter filesCoordinate attorney time entry, expense reimbursements, calendars, and occasional travelUtilize timekeeping, billing, redlining, and document management systemsQualifications35+ years of transactional legal secretary experienceStrong background in title insurance and real estate transactionsExcellent document production skills with strong attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe AcrobatAbility to learn and work within firm software tools and document management systemsWhat the Firm OffersCompetitive compensationComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k)Supportive, people-first culture and meaningful work environmentEqual Opportunity Statement The firm is committed to a workplace that provides equal employment opportunities and complies with all applicable anti-discrimination laws.
