Delivery Driver PositionZippy Carriers is looking for Delivery Drivers for the Akron Area. We deliver Amazon packages. As a Delivery Driver, you will deliver items from assigned routes in a timely manner. You will need to work as part of a team, to ensure that all packages are delivered correctly and safely to each customer.To succeed at Zippy Carriers, you must be polite and dependable with a commitment to providing our customers and your teammates with an excellent experience. You must ensure that all deliveries are fulfilled; be committed to work safety and helping your teammates when they need help completing their routes; and be passionate about satisfying our customers.Delivery Driver Responsibilities:Arriving to work on time in proper uniform, always protecting the brand of Amazon and Zippy CarriersLoading, transporting, and delivering items to customers in a safe and timely mannerAdhering to assigned routes and following time schedulesEnsuring all teammates have finished their routes and checking out for the day with the manager/dispatcherAbiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving recordPresenting a positive and professional attitude when delivering products to customers' homes, retail and business locationsUsing handheld technology to deliver customer packages, manage delivery progress, and solve obstaclesEnsuring delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition on a daily basisMay assist in training other team membersDelivery Driver Requirements:Driving and/or delivery experience preferred (not required)Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation lawsAbility to walk, drive, and lift and carry up to 50 poundsAttention to detail and ability to problem solve independentlyDemonstrate strong communication skillsSelf-motivated and able to work in a self-directed environment with an upbeat attitudeAbility to work with a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentJob Qualifications:Valid Ohio Driver's LicenseClean driving record21 years or olderJob Info:$20.00 an hourPart time and full time opportunities available- Hours of operation are typically between 9:30am and 10pm.
