Our dedication to quality, exceptional customer service, and unequivocal results allow us to provide the best outcomes to our clients.As a Director of Environmental Services, you are responsible for managing the environmental services department within a 700 bed hospital. You will have oversight of about 1M+ sq ft of cleanable space. You will lead a team of over 100 associates including 5 operations managers and 4 supervisors. The director is also responsible for managing the financial budget including labor and supply costs, and coordinates with various vendors used within the facility. The role is responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness and service to all our patients and customers by following the Touchpoint company standards.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for departments financial data and statisticsMonitoring of unit expendituresDevelops and recommends department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budgetCoordinates housekeeping activities with other departmentsActively communicates with administration and other hospital departmentsPlans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the departmentEstablishes work standards and workflowTravels to various accounts providing supportEstablishes and implements policies and procedures for departmental operationsEncourages and mentor staff creativity and innovationEnsures compliance with all regulatory agenciesProactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectivesDemonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plansReads, develops, and administers Total Quality Management processPreferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent or equal related experience requiredEVS management experience at the Assistant Director or Director level in a mid to large sized acute care hospitalHousekeeping management experience at a large account preferredMust have the ability to analyze and interpret financial and other dataStrong business acumenExcellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship building skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectivesProficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and internetCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
