Must be 18 years of age or older No experience required and on the job training provided No high school diploma, GED or college degree requiredResponsibilities:Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.Dusts furniture, walls, light fixtures.May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specificationsCleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatmentGathers and empties trashWipes and cleans tabletops, chairsCleans and polishes furniture and fixturesServices, cleans, and supplies restroomsCleans glass doorsMust keep janitor's closet neat and orderly and maintain equipment in good working orderRequisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance dutiesMiscellaneous duties as assignedA good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
