PURPOSE OF POSITION:
New hire Qualified Locomotive Electrician will receive a $15,000 signing bonus.

An electrician is responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining diesel locomotive electrical systems in accordance with company guidelines and federal regulations; detecting and diagnosing diesel engine electrical malfunctions, and making necessary repairs.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Electrical repair and maintenance of diesel locomotives
Electrical modifications/upgrades to locomotive systems
Diagnostic trouble shooting with onboard computer systems/laptops
Will be responsible for other duties as assigned in compliance with FRA Rules and Safety Regulations

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required
Journeyman Electrician is preferred, but will consider applicants with related electrical experience
Diesel electrical experience is preferred. However, electrical experience or training with other types of machinery/truck or automotive electrical repairs and upgrades to systems is considered
Ability to follow Electrical Schematics is a definite asset
Must be safety oriented and comply with safety rules and regulations
Must be willing to work shifts, 24/7 seniority based operation
Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
