TalentoHC is partnered with a travel & leisure organization seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Privacy. This candidate will report to the Sr. Director, IT Operations & Cyber Security.


Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Privacy for our client to spearhead data privacy initiatives and ensure compliance with international data protection laws. This pivotal role involves crafting and enforcing robust privacy policies, supervising data processing activities, and ensuring the organization aligns with evolving digital privacy standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, outstanding analytical abilities, thorough knowledge of relevant data privacy laws, and a strong commitment to upholding the highest data protection standards. This position is crucial in maintaining our clients' reputation for trust and security in handling sensitive information of both guests and employees.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive data privacy policies and procedures in accordance with global privacy laws and regulations.
  • Ensure the organization’s data processing activities comply with relevant legal standards.
  • Lead privacy impact assessments and risk management processes related to data privacy.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and other departments to align privacy strategies with technological and business developments.
  • Manage and respond to data privacy inquiries and requests from data subjects.
  • Conduct regular privacy audits and ensure necessary corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assist in developing training and awareness programs to foster a culture of data privacy throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated on changes in data privacy laws and regulations and adjust policies and practices accordingly.
  • Manage relationships with external data privacy consultants and service providers.
  • Serve as the primary contact for data privacy-related communications internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications in data privacy (such as CIPP) are preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data privacy or a related field.
  • Knowledge of global data protection laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
  • Strong understanding of information technology and data management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
