Job Description:

  • Hire, train and manage 10-15 wood shop employees.
  • Oversee production schedule to ensure on-time completion
  • Ensure best-in-class production methods are used, to meet quality expectations
  • Manage engineering team schedule, and ensure that drawings meet needs of manufacturing team
  • Leader of shop culture and production philosophy.
  • Assist with layout of production facility, selection and acquistion of new machinery
  • Collaborate with purchasing team to make sure that all parts, components and supplies are kitted and ready for each project
  • Ensure all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies and proceedures

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of high-end furniture making experience
  • Minimum 5 years of wood shop management experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Demonstrated skills in team leadership and vendor management
  • Ability to read and review shop drawings.
  • Intermediate skills with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong customer service focus
  • LEAN experience a plus
