Job Summary: The Unit Manager will manage all aspects of their unit, such as customer satisfaction and admission/discharge protocols, and coordinate care delivery across the interdisciplinary team. The Unit Manager coordinates, manages, evaluates, and is accountable for 24-hour resident care activities, nursing personnel, and operations on designated units and assures the safety of residents.
Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:
- Must demonstrate clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
- Must be a licensed RN in good standing in the state of Florida.
- Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations, Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift, stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and smell. Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- For the safety and security of our residents, our employees must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English, the most universally used language of our residents and employee population.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
- Must meet all local health regulations and post-offer physical exam.
- Current CPR certification
