We are seeking a Full-time Optical Lab Associate to join our team.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Computer literate.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PPT
  • Working knowledge of general office duties.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manages special orders, following up within guidelines.
  • Final Inspection
  • Completes and files in a timely manner all necessary store and lab paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
  • Strives to improve technical knowledge.
  • Is attentive to detail with all measurements, calculations, equipment settings, and defective products.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records a plus
  • Understanding of vision and medical insurance billing (preferred)
  • Dependability and timeliness is a must


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the optical lab
  • Knowledge of optical theory
  • Understanding of vision and medical insurance billing (preferred)
  • Registered Dispensing Optician Certification (Preferred)
  • American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification (Preferred)
  • Optical experience: 2 years (Required)
  • EMR systems: 1 year (Required)


Experience:

  • Laboratory Experience: 1 year (Required)
  • Optical experience: 2 years (Required)
  • EMR systems: 1 year (Required)


Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
