You'll support WMATA leadership with research, analysis, quality control, and strategic communication for complex scheduling and project controls. Perfect for a seasoned professional who can lead under pressure and operate with discretion.ResponsibilitiesThe on-call SMEs will be equivalent to a Senior Project Manager and will be responsible for assisting with scheduling, task management, and emergency and critical events on an as needed basis. The need for senior level SMEs and areas of expertise will be as needed for the duration of the project.Support WMATA VP and/or Task Manager with research, analysis, quality control, scheduling and communications related to task order management, annual scheduling, customer impact criteria, and project controls and complex scheduling programs; andAbility to maintain confidentiality.QualificationsA minimum of 12 years of experience managing teams of schedulers and complex scheduling programs.A minimum of five (5) years of construction, engineering related, or rail maintenance experience;Ability to work periodically in the field around operating equipment and field / construction experience, or within a Control Room Environment;Ability to maintain confidentiality;Ability to work across multiple departments and manage conflict;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Strong organization and proactive communication skills;Proficiency with Microsoft 365 full suite of applications and Primavera 6 (P6);Ability to evaluate and develop complex schedules;Ability to read and understand WMATA rail service maps, power diagrams and train operations, power switching orders, and power outage tags;Must be highly proficient with Adobe Acrobat and Visio to create drawings and maps;Experience with rail construction or maintenance;Familiarity with WMATA standard processes and procedures; andFamiliarity with WMATA operations and stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree or above in construction, construction management or a related engineering field; andExperience with TILOS scheduling software and Procore.Salary Range$140,000 to $175,000 annually, depending on experienceApply for this position through this job post/ATS or email your resume to recruit@mjengineers.com.*Third-party recruiters and agencies need not apply.
