(Years) Mainframe development Required 10 Expert knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and other mainframe technologies Required 10 Expert knowledge of DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI) Required 15 Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER (CICS and Batch), FILE MANAGER, SORT, Fault Analyzer Required 15 Experience in all components of software delivery including requirements, design, development, and testing Required 15 Experience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M Scheduling Required 15 Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting Required Experience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS) Required 15 Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required Job Description This position is responsible for providing system maintenance and enhancements for the DHS Special Projects Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications Interface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code. Work with IT support teams (ex. DBA's) to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented Develop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.
