Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Welding and Fabrication Supervisor to lead our welding and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and supervisory roles, with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing workflows, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of welders and fabricators, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
• Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to team members.
• Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and manage workload distribution to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.

Welding and Fabrication Operations:

• Oversee daily welding and fabrication operations, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, as well as cutting, forming, and assembling metal components.
• Ensure all welding and fabrication work complies with engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and make any necessary adjustments or corrections.
• Maintain and operate welding and fabrication equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.

Quality Control and Safety:

• Implement and enforce safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, training, and audits to promote a culture of safety.
• Monitor quality control processes and ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
• Address and resolve any quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall productivity of the welding and fabrication department.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop new fabrication methods and improve existing processes.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and safety.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in welding and fabrication preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding supervisory or leadership role.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-cored arc welding.
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, blueprint reading, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a welding and fabrication environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
