Company Overview: We are a leading construction firm specializing in quick service restaurant (QSR) projects. Our work ranges from ground-up constructions to tenant improvements (TI) with project values spanning from $350,000 to $2.5 million. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, fostering strong client relationships, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to oversee the construction of quick service restaurant projects in the Los Angeles area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing ground-up and TI projects, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage daily on-site activities, including scheduling, coordination of subcontractors, and monitoring progress.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is performed according to specifications, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve any issues and keep projects on track.
- Prepare and submit daily reports, including updates on project status, labor, equipment, and materials.
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including plans, specifications, and change orders.
- Coordinate and lead regular site meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs and provide input on cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Train and mentor site staff and ensure they understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on quick service restaurants and tenant improvements.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- OSHA certification and other relevant safety training preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
