JOB SUMMARYThe Production Control Coordinator is responsible for providing customer service and warehouse support by assisting with pulling customer orders, assisting with inquiries, and coordinating unique customer requests and issue resolution.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*:Essential Functions Statement(s)1.Safety: Put Safety as the top priority. Adheres to all workplace and trade safety laws, regulations, standards, and practices.2.Work Ethic: Employee must consistently practice cost saving, production efficiency, improvement, and work enhance. Also, maintain an organized work environment.3.Compliance with Work Instruction: Work accordingly to the work standards and adhere to the work instructions.4.Production Capacity:Prepare and distribute production schedules to departments.Review production schedules to determine material requirements or real priorities.Confer with department manager to assess progress and discuss needed changes.Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite the flow of materials and meet production schedules.Maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.Prepare various detailed production reports for upper management.Promote safety to all team members, customers, and suppliers.Maintain inventory control through thorough checking and documentation of all listed itemsTake regular inventory counts and develop variance reportsInvestigate variances through review of various reports and worksheetsReview and track all purchase orders and expenditures for plant operationsPrepare reports, documentation, or other information as necessary or requestedCommunication with the account coordinator regarding any issues with the orderLiaison with support departments to ensure paperwork/documentation is completed accuratelyVerify load sheets and enter loads in and out of the POSPIA ERP systemPerform various duties for continuous production within the Annealing, Pickling & Coating and Drawing lines including monitoring each process and proactively being involved in developing resolutions for issuesOther duties as assigned by Management5. Quality Assistance: Perform job functions by set policies and procedures to ensure the preservation of the company quality policy.6. Communication: Communication with the account coordinator regarding any issues with the orderLiaison with support departments to ensure paperwork/documentation is completed accurately*The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. SKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or 3-5 years directly related work experience in the steel or metals industry.Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Production Coordinator in a heavy manufacturing setting or similar heavy industry.Computer Skills: Proficiency in a Windows operating environment, including e-mail and Microsoft Office software.Certifications & Licenses:Forklift and Overhead Crane
