Job Title: Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery RN Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM-07:15 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of acute care RN experience License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, EFM or C-EFM Must-Have: - Diploma or Associate degree in Nursing - IV insertion and blood draw skills - PICC/Central Line management - Familiarity with Rapid Infuser - Ability to titrate medication - Knowledge of common medications: Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, labetalol, hydralazine, insulin - EPIC Charting experience - AWHONN standards proficiency Job Description: - Work in a Labor & Delivery unit following AWHONN standards - Handle 5400 deliveries annually with a 24-hour OB hospitalist presence - Manage a unit with 19 labor beds, 9 bed OBED, and 14 bed AP - Maintain patient care ratios according to AWHONN standards - Utilize skills in IV insertion, blood draws, PICC/Central Line management, and titration of medications - Perform tasks such as administering medications like Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, labetalol, hydralazine, and insulin - Utilize EPIC Charting for documentation - Required to change scrubs provided by the facility - Ability to work night shifts from 06:45 PM-07:15 AM.
