As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will design and deploy test systems and software for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of component, sub-assembly, and vehicle level testing. We develop ground test data acquisition and control systems based on NI CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, PXI, and other hardware that will test fluid, mechanical, and electrical development and flight systems of our engines and launch vehicles. Our team provides support for business units and programs across for critical development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and integrating features into our existing test platform onto our Engine test stands. You will be supporting our backend with our embedded real-time software and client side software, and modernizing our legacy desktop application software into our web and cloud based platform. This role will also require working knowledge and skills of electro-mechanical and fluid systems that are sensed and controlled by our software. Additionally, you will participate in code and design reviews on a multi-developer team, write automated unit tests and integration tests in conjunction with our DevOps and System Engineers, and add new technologies to our platform. Further, you will be expected to deliver, educate, and support our group's platform for the other internal test teams.

Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering. Other engineering or science degrees or work history will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met
3+ years of direct software engineering experience in C#, LabVIEW, Python, C++, OR similar experience
This role will be responsible for co-owning the LabVIEW software stack and work directly with DSCE Integration Engineers and various test engineering groups test and build capabilites
3+ years of hands on development or of electro-mechanical or fluids system components such as pressure transducers, temperature, LVDT, bridge, accelerometers, and motion/servo controllers
Solid working knowledge of electrical, fluid, physics, and math and able to apply fundamental principles to real world designs and problems
Experience leading a major project from inception, to production including owning its requirements, architecture, design, implementation, with contribution from fellow developers

Labview is a hard requirement - candidates must have this experience

Experience working in aerospace and/or a regulated test environment

Knowledge in a scrum or agile practices
