As a Senior Associate you are responsible for analyzing complex problems, mentoring others, and maintaining elevated standards. You focus on building client relationships and developing a deeper understanding of the business context, while navigating increasingly complex situations and growing your personal brand and technical knowledge.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate proficiency in analyzing reinsurance contractsUtilize reinsurance accounting systems and software effectivelyMentor junior team members and uphold exemplary standardsFoster and maintain enduring client relationshipsGain a thorough understanding of the business contextManage complex scenarios to achieve quality outcomesGrow personal brand and technical skillsApply critical thinking to address complex issuesWhat You Must HaveBachelor's Degree4 years of experienceWhat Sets You ApartMaster's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration/Management, or Finance preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Exhibiting proficiency in reinsurance contract analysis and interpretationPossessing familiarity with reinsurance accounting systems and software (e.g. TAI)Demonstrating experience with reinsurance financial statement preparation, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statementUnderstanding of reinsurance cash management and reconciliation processesDemonstrating knowledge of reinsurance regulatory requirements and complianceDemonstrates knowledge of management reporting techniques and tools, such as key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and forecastingUtilizing problem-solving skills and attention to detail in identifying and resolving accounting discrepanciesLeveraging communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal finance teams and external stakeholdersThe salary range for this position is: $77,000 - $202,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position.
