And we do it all with heart, each and every day.Position SummaryAs a Supervisor for the Enteral Accounts Receivable (A/R) department, you will be responsible for providing leadership for assigned Patient Financial Services (PFS) teams. You will oversee a team of A/R representatives that are responsible for contacting payers to collect on unpaid claims in a timely and accurate manner, researching and resolving payment variances, and managing the accurate and timely filing of claims within payer function group.Additional Responsibilities Of The Accounts Receivable Supervisor Include:Oversee day-to-day operations of teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of all PFS activitiesMonitor and strive to continually improve the collection of payer claims in accordance with the respective contractAssist management with meetings with key payers to discuss reimbursement issues and payer publication notices affecting claims processing changesEnsure daily reconciliation of electronic claim filesMaintain productivity and quality standards of all PFS functionsReview accounts receivable adjustments for accuracy and submit adjustment requests as defined by departmental policies and procedures for upper management approvalMaintain compliance with government reimbursement programsSuggest changes to department policies and procedures as appropriateWork with management to complete disciplinary action as requiredWork with the Training and Education department to develop and deploy training for new employees and provide ongoing training as neededComplete annual performance reviews for employees and provide timely feedbackCreate a work environment for employees through team building, coaching, constructive feedback, work delegation, personal example and goal setting that encourages creativity, open dialogue on work issues, professional growth, and a consistent, high level of performance; encourage and support employee decision-making within his or her scope of responsibilitiesDevelop and maintain "super user" capabilities in technology applications and all other related information systems, tools, technologies, and processes; assist other employees as needed to ensure all tools are fully utilized to create an efficient and effective departmentComply with and adhere to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures (including HIPAA and PCI compliance requirements), and "leading practices"Liaise appropriately with peers across the organization; work with Intake and Analytics department to communicate trends and suggest process improvements to revenue cycleRequired Qualifications5+ years of Revenue Cycle or similar accounts receivable experience, preferably within billing/collections1+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and ExcelPreferred Qualifications2+ years of supervisory experience in healthcare reimbursement or medical insurance/billingClear understanding of how collections and billing impacts revenue cycle operations and financial performanceAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to effectively anticipate and respond to issues as needed in a dynamic work environmentDedication to treating both internal and external constituents as clients and customers, maintaining a flexible customer service approach and orientation that emphasizes service satisfaction and qualityCertification with Healthcare Financial Management Association, or Certified Revenue Cycle RepresentativeHome healthcare experienceExperience in managing projects involving the collaboration, motivation and cooperation of a wide variety of people with whom there is no direct reporting relationshipEducationVerifiable high school diploma or GED is required.
