Anchor Bay Packaging Corporation specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of JIT (Just in Time) packaging. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our team. This job will be based in the U.S. and the role will report to the Regional Operations Manager. We are currently implementing Epicor, which is an end-to-end fully integrated ERP. This role will be local to the New Baltimore area and will be primarily on-site in our plant 4 location. 

 

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment. This includes inventory management, receiving and shipping of goods, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing warehouse staff.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using appropriate software systems.
  • Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss and optimize stock levels.

Receiving and Shipping:

  • Oversee the receiving process for incoming materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and carriers to schedule deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipment of finished goods to customers.

Warehouse Organization:

  • Develop and maintain efficient warehouse layout and storage systems.
  • Implement best practices for organizing and storing materials to maximize space utilization.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or violations.
  • Train warehouse staff on safety procedures and best practices.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to warehouse personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement efficiency initiatives to streamline warehouse operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed.

 

Competencies:

·        Strong organizational, time management, and people management skills.

·        Pays close attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities effectively; able to evaluate situations, identify options, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.

·  Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.

·        Must have strong computer skills with Excel and other Microsoft products.

·        General familiarity with the packaging industry and process.

·        Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed, especially during peak production periods or when addressing emergencies.

 

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

·        Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

·        Certified forklift operator.

·        Experience with Epicor or similar ERP system.

 

Physical Requirements:

·        Ability to move, walk long distances, and stand for long periods at a time.

·        Should be able to lift and carry moderately heavy objects as needed.
