With a strong ethical framework, KBR prioritizes data security, privacy, and responsible information management to ensure mission success.KBR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a MQ-9 Air Vehicle Pilot (AVP) in Patuxent River, MD, supporting UX-24 and the USMC MQ-9 MUX MALE test and evaluation program. The USMC MQ-9 MUX MALE program is part of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Unmanned Expeditionary (MUX) initiative, delivering a Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance (MALE) unmanned aircraft system based on the MQ-9A Reaper platform. Its mission is to provide persistent intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), communications relay, electronic warfare, and maritime domain awareness, acting as a digitally interoperable "network bridge" for joint and naval forces in contested environments. This capability supports Force Design 2030 by enabling expeditionary advanced base operations and enhancing connectivity across sensors, platforms, and command networks in the Indo-Pacific and other operational theaters. Our highly talented and experienced aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support at Patuxent River. As a long-term incumbent and leader in flight test, the selected applicant will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test.Roles And ResponsibilitiesThis position supports Developmental Test and Evaluation at UX-24 in support of Naval Test Wing Atlantic and the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) located at NAS Patuxent River, MD.Perform flying duties of a MQ-9 AVP and all aspects of project officer duties for UX-24.Support a wide range of NAWCAD test and evaluation requirements to include test planning meetings, test plan development, event planning, test procedure and card development, flight briefings, test execution, post event support, test reporting, and deficiency reporting.Domestic travel may be required in support of flight test activities.Basic QualificationsMust be a US Citizen. Minimum seven to ten (7-10) years of aviation experience. Past (required) or current (desired) MQ-9 AVP qualification. Bachelor's Degree required. Secret Clearance required; Must be able to obtain a Top-Secret Security clearance. Must be able to maintain an FAA Class II medical certificate, or military equivalent.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree desired. Two (2) years of RDT&E experience is desired. Current MQ-9 aircraft qualification and recent experience with mission systems T&E techniques, concepts, principles, and practices preferred. A minimum of 1,500 flight hours in Group 4/5 unmanned aircraft preferred. Candidate must be able to organize and demonstrate effective oral and written communications and operate in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and similar computer-based productivity applications.Additional CompensationKBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
