Financial Control Accountant - Chicago, ILThe primary role of the Financial Control Accountant is to maintain subsidiary ledgers and account for transactional fees for our futures commission merchant business. Areas of responsibility include broker commission payouts, and other variable and fixed direct trading costs. This role supports profitability analysis and reporting including return on capital metrics. The Financial Control Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager to maximize development, learning and departmental efficiency.Job ResponsibilitiesAccounting and settlement of broker payouts and other transactional expensesSupport development of new commission payout processing systemCalculate monthly payouts using existing Access Database or new commission payout systemMaintain database of exchange, clearing, and NFA fees under the direction of the Accounting ManagerPrepare monthly transactional expense accrual accounting entry and related entries and reconciliationsOther general accounting tasksJob RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Strong analytical abilities, initiative and problem solving skills, High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, 1-3 years experience in Finance Services as an accountant or analyst a plus, Experience in the futures industry a plus, Ability to meet deadlines, Promotes the ADM Way and Core ValuesExcited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
