2ND SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR NEEDED - SANDUSKY, OHIO AREAA Leading Automotive Supplier in the Sandusky, Ohio area needs a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.RESPONSIBILITIES:Will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for Supervising a Team on 2nd Shift of up to 15 Non-Union Manufacturing Employees.Oversee the daily activities of Machine Operators and Technicians while providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.Manage Production and Schedule Work Orders. Monitor Production to ensure KPI Targets are met, and Manage Shift Performance.Ensure Quality and Safety: Enforce quality control standards, ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and conduct regular inspections of the production area.Monitor and Maintain Equipment: Monitor the performance of production equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.Troubleshoot and Improve Processes: Address non-conforming products by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements.Maintain Records: Collect and enter production data and maintain accurate daily production reports.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, team management, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.Prospective Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of previous Production Supervision Experience in a Manufacturing Plant Setting.Technical Knowledge: Experience with Plastics Manufacturing Processes, such as Injection Molding or Extrusion is Preferred. Machining Expertise would also be helpful.Attention to Detail: Must be detail and quality oriented to identify visual defects and perform tasks efficiently.Physical Ability: May need to stand for prolonged periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 20 pounds.Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills and software like Microsoft Office is required.A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's Degree is strongly Preferred.
