Schedule Evening rotational shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Job Description Under general supervision, the Sterile Processing Department Technician performs a variety of duties that include manual decontamination, operation of mechanical washers, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and conducting equipment and instrument quality inspections. The technician will maintain and document sterilization records in the electronic instrument tracking system while adhering to infection control policies. This position ensures positive patient outcomes by effectively serving the needs of physicians, clinical units, and various hospitals affiliates. ResponsibilitiesPerform quality tests on equipment and sterilizers. Utilize mechanical and ultrasonic washers, sterilizers, and other SPD equipment. Retrieve and receive used instruments and equipment while preventing cross-contamination. Document and track reusable medical devices through the instrument tracking system. Conduct quality inspections on instruments prior to assembly and sterilization. Ensure correct sterilization methods and cycle monitoring. Distribute sterile instruments to respective units aseptically. Maintain inventory and storage of sterile items and equipment. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureAt least one (1) year of experience in Sterile Processing (certified or uncertified). Certification as a Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPD). High School Diploma or equivalent. Why ARMStaffing?
