Responsible for financial monthly reporting to Controller and CFO including identifying, tracking, and analyzing financial trends, revenue opportunities and abnormalities, and performing monthly budget to actual comparisons by location and department. Responsible for generating and maintaining annual and monthly budget for the organization with the assistance of the finance department. The position requires excellent finance and database skills, detailed analysis, technical comprehension of EMR system, customer service and communication/data presentation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Report to the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Assist the CFO and Controller develop and maintain the annual budget for the organization.
  • Compile data for annual reports, quarterly reports, budgets and cash flow reports.
  • Create monthly budget to actual reports as a part of the month end close process.
  • Research budget to actual variances on a monthly basis and provide results to finance team and executive management.
  • Assist in leading monthly meetings in the finance department to present budget to actual variances and noted data trends.
  • Create Quarterly spreadsheets calculating covenant compliance requirements and consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist with information gathering for annual Financial Statement Audit, Federal Program Audit, 990 Tax Return, 403b audit, UDS report and Medicare Cost Report.
  • Design, review, analyze, and summarize financial reports based on data retrieval or data manipulation. Perform general ad hoc analysis of financial data for trends and variances and presents findings to management.
  • Participate in various ad-hoc projects to track and improve procedures, research transactions, and submit required data to requesting organizations.
  • Track, Analyze, and report data on various other financial systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Consistently ensures knowledge of and complies with Mountain Park Health Center policies and procedures.
  • Observes and respects the confidentiality of all information in regard to patients, visitors, vendors and co-workers.
  • Maintain consistent, timely communication regarding all facets of departmental activities with his/her co-workers.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required ·
  • Significant experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred ·
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in the healthcare industry preferred
