Job Overview: The Event Security Guard is the most visible member of the IESS team and providing outstanding customer service to the attendees and guests of the events we secure. The successful Event Security Guard is punctual, in uniform, responsible, and professional at all times while on duty. Event Security Guards implement our customer service first mentality when interacting with the public, enforcing event policies but doing so with a positive framing.  Responsibilities and Duties:Greet and interact with guests in an upbeat, friendly, and personable mannerStand at assigned post and maintain a level of alertness and awareness to the surroundingsPatrol the facility on foot as directed by the supervisorAssist guests and client representatives as neededRespond to, report, and document any incidents or issues of which you become awareProvide outstanding customer service to everyoneBe able to properly wear the assigned company uniformAttend all required trainings and meetings as directed by the supervisorBe able and willing to become certified in site-specific trainingsHave full knowledge of the venues in which IESS operatesBe able to effectively communicate via two-way radio device to IESS staffOther responsibilities and duties as deemed necessary by executive management Additional Responsibilities Based on Position Level (Lead Guard):Supervise staff on assigned shiftWhen required, conduct employment interviews and make hiring decisionsWhen required, assist with overseeing training sessions Minimum Qualifications:Must be 21 years of age or olderMust have a high school diploma or GEDExperience in security or hospitality preferredAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writing As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug screening.Must have reliable transportationMust be able to work a reserve or on call schedule that meets business needs which includes nights, weekends, and holidaysNeat and professional appearanceUpbeat, friendly, and personable demeanorMust be able to handle urgent situations with calm and poiseMust be able to stand for an entire shift (up to 12 hours)Must be proficient in computer skills and fluent in Microsoft programs Benefits:Paid Time Off (up to 40 hours per year)401k with 100% company matchPerksAtWork MembershipFree in-house trainings and certificationsAdvancement opportunities Compensation details: 16-16 Hourly WagePIef6578ce5641-31181-38047034
