Front-End Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Software Developer to support mission-critical operations for the United States Air Force in San Antonio, TX. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance and offers the opportunity to contribute to national defense through innovative software engineering and user-focused design.The ideal candidate will bring subject matter expertise in front-end development, user interface design, and Agile methodologies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive, efficient, and secure user interfaces that enhance operator experience and system usability. Location: The position will be remote with the requirement to be onsite for planning activities and client meetings with prior notice. Key Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise in front-end software development and user interface design.Analyze, plan, and develop requirements documents and functional models.Create technical design drawings, wireframes, and mockups for stakeholder review.Design and implement modifications to GUIs and optimize UI elements for usability and performance.Facilitate user-centric design practices and ensure compliance with UI/UX standards.Conduct and document system tests to verify operability and compliance with requirements.Collaborate in Agile development environments and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.Support DevSecOps practices and integrate with DoD-compliant toolchains.RequirementsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of experience in software development and engineering.Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience).Proficiency in object-oriented and scripted languages.Experience with DevSecOps, microservices, and containerization.3+ years of experience with:Bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)Testing web-based applicationsFront-end web design and development5+ years of experience with:Jenkins and GitLabAt least five of the following tools: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Apache Tomcat, Maven, SonarQubeDemonstrated experience with:Agile, user-centric application designGenerating wireframes and mockups for multiple user personasUX design tools such as Sketch and InVisionCloud-based development and secure data integrationDesired Qualifications:Experience with Agile Test-Driven Development (TDD)Familiarity with DoD DevSecOps environments5+ years of experience with CI/CD software developmentDevSecOps experience with at least five of the following tools:GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, JUnit5, Ansible, esbuildPlateau does not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters without a signed third-party agreement.
