Urbandale, United States AMBA Full time

As a Programmer / Analyst, you'll play an important role in the operation of the agency. You'll help design technical solutions to address business problems and support initiatives: by writing code, creating and updating database tables, views, and stored procedures, and working with the members of your team creatively and collaboratively to ensure the reliable function of systems and tools. Some projects will involve working with outside entities and will require interfacing with and adapting to requirements developed externally, while others will be internally facing. In addition, you will be asked to:

  • Execute AMBA’s data acquisition and management strategy by managing and maintaining enterprise data assets – write queries, import/export records, perform data hygiene operations, work with vendors to enhance existing data sets or acquire new ones
  • Create and manage automated recurring tasks to support dataflow requirements across systems using tools including Mulesoft, SSIS packages, and API integrations
  • Work with internal business partners to support efforts to build and activate data warehouse assets and business intelligence tools
  • Modify existing systems – create enhancements and patches to systems currently in production
  • Use common best-practice tools – keep your code in a versioning system, use IDEs for development
  • Manage your projects – keep your peers and leaders informed on progress, issues, and timelines
