Fitness Instructor - In Person - PRNSTGi is currently seeking qualified candidates to support our Wellness and Health Promotion Services contract with Federal Occupational Health as a (In-Person) Fitness Instructor in College Park, Maryland or Rockville, Maryland.Mat Pilates, Zumba, Les Mills, Strength Training or Kickboxing preferredService OperationsInstruct regularly scheduled group fitness classes. Formats may include:Mind/body classes (e.g., Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, etc.)Specialty classes (e.g., Cycle, Zumba, Les Mills formats, etc.)General classes (e.g., formats with a focus on strength, cardiovascular, or core)Instruct at various intensity levels (low to high) for participants of varying skill levels (beginner to advanced).AdministrativeStart class on time. For onsite classes, arrive early to set up the mic/sound system and your station with all necessary equipment. For virtual classes, login early to confirm connectivity, video and sound and set up your station with all necessary equipment.For virtual classes, ensure the setting is appropriate (i.e., spacious, uncluttered, well lit, professional) the camera is at a suitable angle and distance, and the location has a reliable internet connection.Ensure your attire is fitness professional.When a sub is needed, notify your Health Fitness or FOH Manager as soon as possible.Report attendance numbers as requested.Assist with the completion of safety event forms should there be an unusual incident.Customer ServiceManage customer/agency complaints professionally.Elevate concerns to your Health Fitness or FOH Manager.Required SkillsMust demonstrate proficiency in group fitness instruction.Must possess excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills.Required ExperienceNational certification in group fitness if teaching general classes such as strength, cardiovascular, and core classes.National certification in specialty format if teaching classes such as Cycle, Zumba, Les Mills formats, Yoga, and Pilates with preferred additional national certification in group fitness.Minimum of 1 years' experience in group fitness instruction for specialty formats preferred.Current CPR/AED certification when teaching on-site classes.STG International, Inc. is a workforce solutions company providing comprehensive healthcare delivery, Head Start and management consulting services and human capital solutions help our clients.
