This position directly manages a staff of individual contributors.Depth & Scope:Oversees operations of several functions or processes within operationsDevelops and manages the team by recruiting, training and coachingLeads and applies the performance management process, supporting employees in their personal and performance developmentContinuously accesses the quality of team member performance, incoming volumes, productivity, capacity, SLAs and metricsEstablishes policies and procedures to manage the performance of units supervisedProvides leadership in the absence of the department manager or may represent the interests of the department in committees, presentations, etcServes as change agent to identify and implement continuous improvement within teamsProvides recommendations toward strategic vision and tactical goalsParticipates or leads multiple projects within department or across divisionsDevelops relationships with management of internal and external functions/departments to enhance productivity of managed unitsInfluences others to gain support and sponsorship for departmental initiativesManages bank conversions as they pertain to managed operational unitsDevelops effective strategies and tactics to ensure successful completion and implementation of project goals and service level agreementsDevelops and maintains an overall operating budget, ensures adherence to budget, and takes corrective action as necessaryDelegates budgetary assignments to subordinate managersEducation & ExperienceWork experience equivalent to Bachelors degree 3-5 years related experience required In-depth knowledge of principles, policies, and practices related to operations Demonstrated leadership, delegation, coaching, and mentoring skills Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues and conflicts Excellent written and verbal communications skills Demonstrated problem/conflict resolution skills Demonstrated knowledge of relevant banking and regulatory rules and policies Proven ability to balance competing priorities and make sound decisions within, and outside of, established policy Proven ability to develop new policies and procedures in response to, and in anticipation of, changes in the business environment Work supervised is generally divided into 6 to 10 (or more) diverse operational units with total employees supervised generally ranging from 75 to 250 employees Exhibit forward thinking capabilities Occasional travel requiredPreferred QualificationsRegulatory requirement knowledge Operational Control and Transactional Testing experience Loanserv and Fidelity experience QA/QC experiencePhysical RequirementsNever: 0% Occasional: 1-33% Frequent: 34-66% Continuous: 67-100%Domestic Travel OccasionalInternational Travel NeverPerforming sedentary work ContinuousPerforming multiple tasks ContinuousOperating standard office equipment - ContinuousResponding quickly to sounds OccasionalSitting ContinuousStanding OccasionalWalking OccasionalMoving safely in confined spaces OccasionalLifting/Carrying (under 25 lbs.)
