Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life.Job ResponsibilitiesUnder the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse the Unit Secretary coordinates selected patient activities between the nursing unit and other internal departments, maintains and organizes patient medical records and nursing unit activity files, transcribes medical orders and orders and maintains equipment and supplies.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED preferred.1-2 years of previous secretarial/clerical experience required.Excellent communication skills required.PC skills and knowledge of medical terminology required.Ability to work under pressure and deadlines and balance multiple priorities required.Previous Unit or Medical Secretary experience preferred.We take great care of careers.
